Find a Solution

What is Maturity: a Series of Mini Blogs 8/16

"There are no problems, only solutions." - a guy I know

A mature person is faced with a challenge and finds a solution. When you say it like this it seems like, "duh, obviously find solutions." But here's what usually happens when faced with a challenge:

  • lots of whining.
  • a fabulous pity party.
  • quitting.
  • resignation to "it just can't be done."
  • depression.
  • succumbing to perfectionism and procrastination.
  • avoidance tactics and hoping it magically goes away.

Not you. NO! YOU FIND SOLUTIONS! You are determined not to complain or say negative things, or quickly condemn the situation as hopeless, or just get all offended and butt-hurt! You're going to conquer this situation!

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

What challenge feels too big to have a solution right now? Work or job stuff? Relationship junk? Health issues? Family hurts? It needs a plan of action...

  • if you believe in God then you gotta brush up on his words and speak it over your life!
  • clarity on the solution you want.
  • what work do you need to do on you to get there?
  • get a mediation/prayer habit focuses on those two points.
  • keep your listening ears open for answers.
  • speak only positive and edifying words about the situation.
  • ask for help.
  • be open to solutions you wouldn't expect.

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

Spoiler Alert: God's riches are endless which means your needs are taken care of.
